It is important to clarify the details of this award-winning whiskey.
The 2016 and 2017 releases are from the same vatting of whiskey. Distilled 1991 and following maturation the casks were vatted together and divided into 2 batches. 1 batch released in 2016 and 1 released in 2017. The tasting stock from the full vatting was entered into the awards, rather than from one particular batch from a particular year. This 24 year old whiskey was bottled in 2016 and 2017. Both whiskeys from these years are the same.
