The Macallan Edition range is an annual release that celebrates the details of Macallan's whisky making. Each bottle focuses on a different aspect – for example cask selection, barley or aroma. Edition Number 5 is designed to focus attention on the whiskey's natural colour and highlight the role of wood in creating that colour.

The whisky itself is a 48.5% single malt Macallan. Bottled in 2019, it’s a flavourful and elegant whisky with layers of vanilla, caramel, fruit and smooth honey notes. It has a long finish and is surprisingly sweet and delicate.
