Our vision is to bring as many rare and collectible liquid gold gems to consumers around the world. We will buy exclusive casks and bottles and will source as much product as we can direct from the whisky producers or their authorized distributors. We guarantee quality and authenticity. We will offer our customers exclusive offerings and bottles that are increasingly hard to come by. We will offer malt whiskies from all the main whisky producing regions as well as some from the growing group of new whisky producing markets. We will enlist the services of a world class international courier to ensure our precious cargo reaches our customers as safely and as speedily as possible. Slainte!

Leadership Team
Ed Forrest – Managing Director
A Yorkshireman who grew up in Scotland, Ed started his business life with United Distillers, now Diageo. He then continued his career in the corporate world with LVMH, the world’s biggest luxury goods group, where he worked for 22 years, building brands across multi channels in the UK, the US, and for 19 years in Asia Pacific. Ed recently moved back from Hong Kong to Dublin, home of his wife, to return to the whisky industry with The Single Malt Shop. With family still based in Scotland who also worked in the whisky industry, coming back to the world of uisce beath is a bit like coming home for Ed.
Glen Melia – Sourcing Manager
Glen is our whisky nut. An Irishman who has been in love with the water of life for as long as he can remember, Glen travelled to Scotland early in his working life, to learn the trade in whisky retail with The Whisky Shop. From then on, there was no looking back. Returning to Ireland, Glen set up a whisky events company, running tastings and training for corporate and industry clients and soon built up a reputation as a real whisky expert. Born on the Emerald Isle, Glen is as savvy about Scotch whisky as he is about Irish whiskey. Glen has the enviable task of spending his time scouring the globe for whisky gems for The Single Malt Shop. Someone has to do it!
