Port Ellen

Rebirth of an Islay icon.

Islay dominates the Scotch whisky world with its whiskey heritage. The distilleries on the island symbolise generations of whisky traditions, yet one stands alone as an icon for the island and for long lost bottles.

Port Ellen is beautifully situated beside the sea, but was sadly closed back in the 1980’s The bottles produced before then have become sought after by lovers of peated whisky all over the world. With the supply of remaining bottles dwindling every day.

Port Ellen Distillery

The future is however very bright for Port Ellen, with the new distillery soon to be completed and its name once again become synonymous with wonderful Islay whisky. Those bottles produced all those years ago will surely become more sought after and those lucky enough to own one will enjoy a sip of whisky history.
