Macallan 25 XOP

This 25-year-old Macallan is a superior whisky from Independent bottler Douglas Laing. This third-generation family company is world renowned for its ability to select only the finest single casks from the very best Scottish distillers and make them their own. 

The whisky in this cask was laid down in June 1993 and bottled in June 2018. Matured in a refill hogshead, it was released at cask strength of 51.6% ABV. Only 215 hand-filled bottles were released to market, making it extremely rare. It’s an ultra-premium bottling that has grown steadily in value since. 

XOP stands for Xtra Old Particular and is a Douglas Laing powerhouse that includes some of the most exciting vintage whiskies in Scotland. This bottle is no exception and on the nose you’ll discover warm spices and wood shavings, with rich clotted cream and caramel. The taste is equally elegant with citrus fruits, sweet and zesty elements and a gentle caramel and cream.
