The Bushmills Causeway Collection Sauternes Cask release is an Ireland-exclusive bottling from the famous Northern Ireland distillery. Matured in bourbon barrels and oloroso sherry butts before a two-year finish in sauternes wine casks results in a limited edition rare cask release that is dominated by vanilla sweetness wrapped in citrus and toffee apple.

It's an exceptional whiskey that makes great use of the delicate summer fruit flavours created by the rare sauternes wine casks. Sauternes is a sweet white wine that has notes of ripe peaches, fresh grape and apricot flavours. These blend incredibly well with Bushmills Irish whiskey.

The 2011 Sauternes cask was chosen as a finish to celebrate the complexity of this Irish single malt and to allow the French casks to marry perfectly with the ex-bourbon and the oloroso sherry butts.
