The 2010 Cognac Cask is a limited edition rare cask finished, cask strength (53.8% ABV) and non chill-filtered Irish single malt. The nose has gentle oak married with cinnamon spice, ripe fruits and a honeycomb sweetness. The palate gives an initial hit of sweet caramel and ripe pear, followed swiftly by flavours of dried dates, sultanas and figs. An exceptionally comforting long, warm finish that offers a well-balanced complexity of delicate wood flavours that linger on the palate.

The Bushmills 2010 Cognac Cask release is one of a pair of special-edition bottles that make up the 2023 BUshmills Causeway Collection. This is an annual release from Bushmills that creates handcrafted releases that are exclusive to each of the Northern Ireland whiskey company's biggest markets. Along with its sibling, the Bushmills 1999 American Oak bottling, it leads the pack in a series of rare cask one-off special editions.

Ireland is the first market to have its bottles released but you can expect the 2023 edition to land in France, Germany, Australia and further afield as the Bushmills story continues to reach out into the world year after year using rare casks to herald its arrival.
