Hinch Distillery is one of the younger Irish distilleries, located in County Down, within sight of the Mourne mountains in the northern end of the island of Ireland. The Hinch 10-year-old Sherry is a blend of single grain and single malt whiskey matured to a minimum of 10 years with a finish in the finest oloroso sherry casks.

The sherry cask finish ensures the unmistakable nutty aftertaste of this fine Irish whiskey which manages to combine earthy garden-fresh notes into its palate.

Fresh fruit and stewed fruit live happily side-by-side on both the nose and the taste, bringing subtle layers of fruity sherry to the fore. The triple distillation in Irish whiskey often creates a softer taste and can add complexity to a whiskey and, in this case, it does so perfectly.

Following traditional Irish mashing processes, the cask combination and sherry finish in particular has created a subtle red hue that underpins the light brown of the liquid.
