Glenury Distillery

Also known as Glenury Royal, this malt distillery was originally founded in the 1820’s near Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire. The distillery had gone through cycles of boom and bust, including capacity being doubled in the 1960’s.

However the boom only lasted until 1985s when the distillery was mothballed and finally demolished in the 1990’s. Today houses are on the site of this once famous distillery.

Bottles from the distillery can be found in small numbers in the form of independent bottlings. While some of the rarest Glenury available are those bottles made for the export market.
