The 27 year old is accompanied on the website by our very own Redbreast 22 year old single cask bottling, a stunning example of what just one cask of this famous pot still can create.

While continuing to grow in size, the Redbreast range is also growing in popularity, with the recent launch of the third in the Dream Cask series. Like its predecessors it sold out in a matter of minutes on the day of its release!

Alongside the standard range and these Dream Cask bottlings, Redbreast have been quietly releasing exquisite single cask expressions over the last number of years. These single cask bottlings are created for the likes of specialist whiskey retailers. These whiskies have become highly sought after by whiskey collectors worldwide, as only around 550 bottles are drawn from each of these single casks. Many previous single cask expressions have only been available in certain markets, making them ever more collectible.

Single cask bottlings offer an exclusive glimpse into the craft of making the rich sherried style that works so well with single pot still whiskey. Being the largest distillery in Ireland, the folks at Midleton have access to the most exceptional barrels from around the world, ensuring that only the finest ones are used to mature their single cask expressions.

Their Spanish sherry barrels are sourced from Andalusia, where they are hand made by the coopers in the Bodega of Antonio Paez Lobato, using oak from forests in Galicia.
