Celebrating the 200th anniversary of this famous distillery. Taken from one of the last remaining casks from the time of peated Northern Highland malts, this stunningly complex yet gently smoky single malt exemplifies this iconic distillery in time for its rebirth.
This 40-year-old is a vatting of 12 American oak hogsheads laid down in 1978 and with just 1,819 bottles produced, an important number as it reflects Brora’s foundation year.
This is a rich, sweet whisky with a light waxy texture and a savoury smoky finish. A true reflection of old highland whisky syles.
Glen, The Single Malt Shop “It’s a long way up to Brora and its location on the outskirts of a town and surrounded by sheep fields, certainly gives it a remote and placid air. Its great to see the distillery opening again and rare bottles like this will become collectors’ items when the new malt comes off the stills”
