An exceptionally rare bottle from this Speyside distillery with only 40 bottles ever made. Distilled in 1978 and matured in a Firkin cask. This small cask explains the limited number of bottles and this smaller size allows for more interaction with the wood, imparting a more intense experience. Selected by the distillery manager Billy Walker, it was one of just 2 Firkin cask at the distillery, making this one of the rarest Benriachs you can find. The nose leads with summer berries, light floral hints, the oak shines through at the end. The palate brings long smooth vanilla, with honey and cream.
