History of Lough Gill Distillery
On the grounds of an 18th century Palladian style country house just outside Sligo you will find the imposing new Lough Gill Distillery.
With views of Ben Bulben this distillery will certainly become part of the Sligo whiskey and tourism landscape as it continues to be developed.
The distillery owners sought the involvement of legendary Scottish master distiller Billy Walker, who was World Distiller of the year 2015. He helped to craft the first releases for the Athru brand using whiskey sourced from other distilleries in Ireland.
